Healthy Recipes - Avoid Fat, Aim For a Healthy Body
When you mention the words "healthy recipes" the first thing that comes to mind is dieting, not being able to eat all your favorite foods such as beef, chicken, french fries, chocolate shakes, milk shakes and other absolutely gorgeous tasting foods. Well you can make up your own healthy recipes with some of the foods that you like and add some of the other foods that are great for you such as fresh juices and vegetables which are supposed to keep you fit and give you a much younger, healthier looking skin.
So you want to start eating healthier foods but you just don't know which is the right type of food to choose. well that's ok, here are some ideas to help you decide how you are going to create your own healthy recipes. We all know that what we eat is important to help keep us healthy both in body and mind, so we should really pay attention to our diet and eat at least some healthy foods that are truly good for us.
Here are some healthy recipes that are simple to follow and best of all they taste real nice:
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, it is what makes us start getting our metabolism going after a long night's rest, so to speak, so we should pay close attention to what we have for breakfast, for instance instead of eating cereal which we all love with lots of milk and sugar, substitute these with some freshly made cream of wheat or porridge as this will help maintain your fiber intake.
Use skimmed milk instead of full cream milk and add just enough sugar to taste.
Or you may prefer to eat some bran flakes instead of those frosted flakes that you crave.
Healthy recipes include drinking lots of natural fruit juices, if they are available you can either squeeze fresh orange juice or you can purchase natural orange juice which is pure orange juice and does not contain any additive.
Orange juice is just an example you can choose grapefruit juice or any other citrus fruit of your choice. Do not just grab a cup of coffee on your way out the door, sit down and have a healthy breakfast before leaving the house or starting your housework. Another good tip to add to your healthy recipes list is you should avoid eating white bread, you should substitute white bread with wholegrain or whole bran as these are much healthier.
Healthy recipes for those of you who just love a good snack in between meals, instead of munching on those salted potato chips or nuts, try munching on some salt free snacks such as almonds, keep your salt intake level low. If you are one of those people who just have a sweet tooth instead of having ice cream, substitute it with a delicious strawberry or fruit low fat yogurt, these taste absolutely delicious. Another great health recipe for a snack would be a nice bowl of Jello with some fresh fruits, this is a very simple but yummy snack for anytime of the day or night.
