As a normal human being, the state of anxiety is always present though in a very mild form. At times, this turned into a constant bout of anxieties that almost seemed unbearable and thus resulting in what we know as anxiety disorder. There are many contributing factors to the causes of anxiety disorder.

Different medical professionals formulate dissimilar theories as to why anxiety disorders happened in the first place. Some of the common perceptions came in the form of genetically induced occurrences, and some attribute it to environment where a constant feed of anxiety causing circumstances causes the brain to adopt it as a norm and as a result of what we know as anxiety attacks on a constant basis.

Through observations, we came to a general consensus that anxiety in itself is caused by mental state of a person or even a physical condition. Abuse of prescribed drugs may also be a leading factor in the possibility of anxiety surge.

Illegal drugs like cocaine and other drugs prescribed by doctors will also contribute to the onslaught of anxiety within the patients. Though these medicines will cure the illness that it was prescribed to combat, the side effects of causing anxiety, although undesirable, is a by-product of the prescriptions.Other reasons can include coffee and caffeine based beverages, amphetamines like speed, an overactive thyroid muscle, abnormal heart rhythms and other types of heart problems. An example of such a heart problem is mitral valve prolepses.

Some of the causes of anxiety are due to certain mental conditions and these may also include other types of anxiety disorders like panic disorder. Then there are the physical conditions that may give rise to anxiety. Palpitations, and shortness of breath are all considered to be causes of anxiety. The symptoms of anxiety panic disorder include pounding heart, weakness, feelings of being faint, and dizziness. Your hands may feel numb or they may tingle. You will experience chest pains, smothering sensations, a sense of unreality. All of these feelings may lead you to believe that you are having a heart attack, a stroke or even dying.

Anxiety attacks may also be a result of stress as one worry too much about certain aspect of lives. Work, school, finances, relationship, health are all areas where stress are commonly associated with.

Anxiety panic disorder attacks can occur at any time. These attacks can last anywhere from a few minutes up to 10 minutes and there are even rare cases where a case anxiety panic disorder can last for about an hour.

What the medical professionals know of the causes of anxiety are limited and still remain a hypothetical conclusion. Until we know the exact reasons behind the causes of anxiety, we can only base our cure on what we already know as the possible causes of anxiety in the first place and carry on from there until the mystery is dispelled once and for all.
